The Science of Color
Why do modern HD TVs deliver such superior image quality compared to older models? Because manufacturers have continually improved screen technology — expanding the color range, increasing precision, and enhancing resolution. In the same way, ColorBoost™ takes lenses to a new level, maximizing the spectrum of perceivable colors to deliver unmatched visual resolution.
This technology is based on a proprietary index, the Color Resolution Factor (CRF), which measures the number of distinct colors transmitted through the lens.
But color emphasis means little without precision: ColorBoost™ also ensures exceptional color accuracy, with a Color Accuracy Factor (CAF) of 99%, preserving natural tones and visual depth.
In our color-rich world, images become sharper as the number of perceivable shades increases. This effect can be seen by comparing images with a low CRF (80%), standard CRF (100%), and high CRF (138%).
